Earth Day at Farmer

GTLNC sponsored Earth Day activities at Farmer's Market on Sunday, April 20. More than 1400 people attended according to Farmer's Market coordinator, Tanja Castle. GTLNC's efforts were led by the effervescent Jessica Sterling, Environmental Affairs committee chairwoman and Council member. Volunteering her time over the course of several months, Jessica created a unique event that included a children's art project that drew 70 submissions from elementary school kids at Rio Vista School and Toluca Lake Elementary. In particular, the class of Steve Reidman, lead teacher at TLE, were very excited to participate.
