Neighborhood Council Orientation

The Annual Orientation for the Greater Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council was held on Saturday, January 20, at North Hollywood High School. 22 of the 25 elected members of GTLNC were present and were welcomed by Terry Davis, president of GTLNC. Also attending and presenting were Tom LaBonge, councilmember of the LA City Council, District 4 and his assistant Alice Roth; Taneda Larios, NC Coordinator for Department of Neighborhood Empowerment; and Harry Flynn from the West Toluca Lake Homeowners Association and Sean Smith, president of the Toluca Lake Homeowners Association, and Roy Disney, president of Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce and a GTLNC member.

New council members joined one or more of our five committees: Planning; Public Safety; Outreach; Environmental Affairs; and Administrative.

A common theme expressed by many members was a question: "How do we retain the village atmosphere of Toluca Lake?"
